Artist statement

I create visual poems that defy boundaries, fusing sculpture, painting, and playful assemblages into a vibrant dialogue of form, color, and imagination.

I am currently focusing on an ambitious series of sculptures called “towers”. Crafted entirely by hand using ceramic and glazes, each tower bursts with an explosion of unexpected color and texture where a variety of objects and characters evolve in a delicate yet dynamic balance. Their whimsical, pop-inflected aesthetic is imbued with humor, optimism, and an element of surprise, inviting viewers to embrace the joy found in the interplay of materiality and imagination.

In parallel, I explore the synthesis of painting and sculpture, creating hybrid works that challenge traditional boundaries. Here, elements of the painted world seemingly escape their confines to interact with tangible form. The hand-built ceramic components, enriched by vivid glazes, merge with the fluidity of painted imagery to form sculptural narratives that are both comical and profound. This fusion not only highlights the tactile pleasure of materiality but also transforms each piece into a dynamic dialogue between the unexpected and the familiar, celebrating humor and spontaneity.
